When I was in my undergraduate nursing program, one of my professors told me I would write on day. I was skeptical. After all, I was a nurse and what did I have to write about. However, as the years and decades went by, I found I did have stories in me I wanted to tell. During a dark time of my life, I began to write poetry and have incorporated these poems into my writings. Many of these poems were then translated into lyrics and songs for the piano and ukulele. I am now retired from my career as a nurse practitioner and personal trainer using my skills and talents to reach out to people through my writing and music.
